You go swimming at night, the light illuminating the water and becoming a green murky swamp. Your mothers black hair spreads like tentacles in the deep.
Handstands and games. Relays and races. 50's and 100's. 5th place, 3rd place, 2nd place. Sun burns, the smell of tanning oil.
A constellation of freckles.
The splash of the water echoes, and they ripple around like sun beams.
